Join us perhaps?
COME AND HELP US TO STAMP OUT THE MORRIS (Well, dance it I mean!)
Because we have had a good season, and now it is time to try and get rid of any bad habits, and perhaps learn (or relearn) a few new dances.
It is therefore an ideal time for those who want to give it a trial to come along and have a go at it. We meet each Thursday at 8 to practice for two hours, and if you are interested all we ask is that give it a fair trial and do not give up after the first week. Some of us took years to get it, others might be reasonably proficient in a few weeks, so, just take it as a challenge.
Of course if you do not dance but can play a good tune on a suitable instrument you will be equally welcome.
So, get in touch now, you never know it may change your life too, for we have some good times with our team mates all the year round.
One of the most delightful things to do in Cornwall during the summer is to stand outside one of Cornwall's wonderful public houses, watching our hard-working morris dancers weaving their enchanting spell in time to the age-old music of England. There are some ten or a dozen sides covering the whole of the country; the strangely-named Trigg operates through north and east Cornwall, and they can be seen on most Thursday evenings.
We already have one beast called Trigger, and even if you are Roy Rogers we don't need a second one , thank you very much .
